The river that never moves / பேராத பெரும் ஆறு
The praise widens into paradox. The saint now names the Lord by contradictions held together: a river that never moves, joy-and-sorrow-less yet indwelling, hidden in the hearts of those who never think of Him — who melted the singer like water and became his very life.
புகழ்ச்சி முரண்பாடுகளாக விரிகிறது. ஒன்றாகப் பிடித்த முரண்களால் இறைவனைப் பெயரிடுகிறார் ஞானி: நகராத ஆறு, இன்ப துன்பம் இல்லாதவன் ஆனால் உள்ளே இருப்பவன், தன்னை நினையாதவர்களின் உள்ளத்தில் ஒளிந்திருப்பவன் — பாடகனை நீராக உருக்கி அவன் உயிராகவே நின்றவன்.

The meaning in plain words
“O great river of compassion that stands without moving! O insatiable nectar, O limitless great one! O light that hides in the hearts of those who never think of it! O you who melted me like water and stood as my precious life! O you who have neither joy nor sorrow — yet are within!”
A river that doesn’t flow: grace doesn’t come and go; it stands, and we walk into it. “Neither joy nor sorrow, yet within” — He is untouched by our weather and yet dwells inside it. And the tenderest line: He hides even in the hearts of those who never think of Him. No one is godforsaken; some are only god-unnoticed.
எளிய சொற்களில் பொருள்
“நகராமல் நின்ற பெரும் கருணைப் பேராறே! தெவிட்டாத அமுதே! அளவில்லாப் பெம்மானே! தன்னை ஓராதவரின் உள்ளத்திலும் ஒளிக்கும் ஒளியானவனே! என்னை நீராக உருக்கி என் அரிய உயிராக நின்றவனே! இன்பமும் துன்பமும் இல்லாதவனே — ஆனால் உள்ளவனே!”
ஓடாத ஆறு: அருள் வந்து போவதில்லை; நிற்கிறது, நாம் அதனுள் நடக்கிறோம். “இன்ப துன்பம் இல்லை, ஆனால் உள்ளே” — நம் வானிலையால் தீண்டப்படாதவன், ஆனால் அதனுள் வாழ்பவன். மிக மென்மையான வரி: தன்னை நினையாதவர்களின் உள்ளத்திலும் ஒளிந்திருக்கிறான். கடவுளால் கைவிடப்பட்டவர் யாருமில்லை; கடவுளைக் கவனிக்காதவரே உள்ளனர்.
